I was in a funny mood tonight, so I occupied myself by going through fanart links I have bookmarked. There are so many talented artists out there. :o Anyway, I love anything that's funny, so I was really happy when I saw that there is funny fanart out there too. Especially fanart making fun of canon. Because canon can be funny. :P

I found quite a few examples of that type of fanart, and I decided I'd make a short list of it, because, err, it just seemed like a good idea. So, below you'll find links to fanart drawn by fanartists who found a funny angle to canon and made it hillarious. :D

If anybody knows of any other fanart making fun of canon, please point me to it. It'll make me really happy. :D

PS - OMG; I can't believe I wasn't able to find Harry's chestmonster!!! :O Has anybody seen a chestmonster???

I have to out myself as being stupid here: Even after thinking a lot about it, I just didn`t get the Snape!boggart one. Can you please explain it to me? What is Draco thinking there?

Well, you did a lot of work during the past days and weeks. Creating a new rec list. I immediately added it to my memories and will take a closer look later, probably at the week-end when I have more time to do so.

I think I read most of the stories on everybody`s rec list. It might be sad how much time I spend reading H/D fiction, if I wouldn`t enjoy it so much ;-) But usually I discover the odd good story on someone else`s rec list that I haven`t noticed before. Therefore I`m always perusing rec lists by others as well.

I'm the same! I so often read rec lists and can't find anything new to read. Your rec list is good though. I'm always able to find a couple of stories I haven't read yet. Or I at least come across a story that I'd like to reread. :D

I think it's difficult to find completely new stories if you follow the H/D communities ([info]harrydraco, [info]serpentinelion, etc.) and regularly check what's new on the archives like Skyehawke and the HexFiles. A large majority of the people that write H/D post to one of those. :)

Yeah, you got me. I`m exactly one of those H/D fanfiction readers...

But as I never go deliberately to fanfiction.net, I still got surprised by some recs.

I also try to avoid fanfiction.com, because you normally have to wade through all of the really crappy fics to find something good. I prefer those archives where the stories get screened at least a little bit (like Skyehawke). Although a lot of really good writers started archiving on FF.net first. :D
