I'm back! :D [Insert excuses for being away - uni, work, exhaustion, etc.]

I think I'll have some more time from now on... Although I still have to finish my MA thesis from last year (why am I so lazy?), write a linguistics paper (I have no clue what about, although I might ask some of you for help - just to ask a few questions :P) and read a bunch of books for lit class (the only thing I'm looking forward to). But, ohwell, I'll do it somehow.

I've really missed you guys though. I bet a lot of fun/interesting stuff has happened while I've been away! Hopefully this means that I'll be able to find a lot of good new fic I haven't read yet. Any suggestions? Any news? :D There's no way I'll be able to check the last 2 months of f-list. :P

On another note, my paid account is about to expire. Should I buy one more year or not? I don't really know what's been happening with LJ and IJ for the last two months, so if any of you could advise me, I'd be really grateful. (I like having a paid account btw. D:)

About my rec lists... I'll try to update them as soon as possible. I can't say how long it'll take me, because I don't know when I'll have time or when I'll feel well enough to do it. I love keeping rec lists, but work has been incredibly exhausting lately, so that I usually don't have energy for anything on the days that I work. Meh.

Welcome back, dear - you may want to catch up on the latest mega-blunder on LJ's part before you decide what to do with your account (the gist: LJ killed off the creation of basic accounts without telling anyone...)

Yea, I saw that. :( But... still... how many people are on IJ? I don't know how IJ is really. I know some people said they'd be on IJ but then they switched back. So I don't know anymore. I like keeping my rec lists, and I'm afraid that if I go to IJ (for permanent stuff), people won't be able to find them anymore. :/

Btw, I've been reading your fic (when I was supposed to be studying), I just haven't been good at commenting. :P I'll comment soon, promise! :D

Umm, the subject of my MA thesis? The last time I looked at it was some time in October last year... I'm doing media analysis (in connection with European identity). I'm not really sure anymore. *nervous laughter* Anyway, it's for Political Science, and it's taking me forever. :O

Good to see you back - I was wondering if you were ok, so I'm glad it was just too much work. :)

I just decided to renew my paid account. I certainly don't particularly love how LJ run their business, but then I don't think I love any of my service and utilities providers - that's not how business works and that's the world's problem not just LJ.

I like my paid account features and I enjoy being on LJ. I hope work goes well for you this spring and I look forward to seeing you around again. :)

As for the poll: the lj has been good since the last year incidents, and there's still not much going on on the IJ, so my advice is, keep the paid account. :)

Green is pretty, so keep your layout, too. Unless you don't want to, of course. ;p

As for the Tom Riddle/Jareth. I don't know who's Jareth. xD

I don't know who's Pennywise, either, but I guess any pairing with Ronald McDonald would creep me out a lot. o.o (Btw, have you seen this contest on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6K1Edw8XYt8 ? It's about weird pairings. Snape/Umbridge is my um... favourite? so far xP)

Jareth is that guy from 'Labyrinth' played by David Bowie. The creepy guy. :D And Pennywise is the creepy clown from 'It' ("We all float down here"), mwahahaha. *uses creepy icon* :D

Hey, you! I thought you're never coming back as some people just leave lj and I am really happy to see you post again. *hugs tightly* I know life can get really busy at times. I'm glad to hear there's nothing majorly wrong and that you're okay and everything.

I didn't specify in the poll on whether you should change your layout as I think you should do whatever you want with it - keep it if you like it and change it if you think it's time for change. :)

I dislike some thing LJ has done in the past and I really don't like that they canned the Basic journal, but ATM I still like it enough to not refuse to pay for it. In case you decide to not renew and if you see loads of ads all of a sudden, there are ways to get rid of the ads, I have Greasemonkey in my Firefox with LJ butler thingy script installed that clears out all the ads so I don't even have to see them while I'm logging in and I love that. :)

I saw in the comments that you haven't looked at your MA in a while. I can really, er, understand and all, but hope you manage to get back to it eventually and get it done.

Also seen in comments: I didn't know you liked Buffy! :) I didn't know I liked Buffy until recently but have started on the series after seeing Marsters in Torchwood and have been watching it all with great enthusiasm :D. I'm just at the end of series five ATM (three episodes to go) and am really enjoying it :D.

I'd like to at least freshen up my layout. I like that I can have this many links, and I like the colours, but, eh... I just want it a bit different. It's so much work to change it though. And I'm afraid to start changing something in case I don't like it because then I'd have to change it back! :O

Buffy's great. :D James Marsters too. I want his character back in Torchwood. :P

Yes, I just paid for it as well. Except for some reason it wasn't prolonged for one year (from March 18 to March 18)... but only until March 17. But maybe that's correct. Is it? :/
